Ich schätze mal, dass das Problem nur dann auftritt, wenn Umlaute oder ß im Nachrichtentext vorkommen. Schreibt man aber ae anstelle von ä usw. dann wird die Nachricht ohne Fehler gesendet.
Die Fehlermeldung lautet:

DBD::mysql::st execute failed: Incorrect string value: '\xE4\xF6\xFC\x0D<b...' for column 'Text' at row 1 at /tipmaster/tmstatic/www/cgi-bin/btm/mail/mail_sent.pl line 260.
